Resolution Verse - Week 1/27/13

Tonight as I was talking to my mom, she mentioned a verse that she has always treasured.  This week I am honoring her, in part because of her strength, but also because of her love for me and our family.  She has always walked in the Lord, and whether she has known it or not, been a missionary.  This week, I am focusing on Isaiah 40:31 - "But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint" (NKJV).  Through Christ our Lord we have SO much strength, we can do ANYTHING if we rely on Him because He always provides.  I hope this verse speaks to each of you and encourages you this week!

Resolution Weekly Verse - Week 1/20/13

I chose this week's verse while at church today. Pastor Troy was talking about how "you can tell what kind of person someone is or is going to be based on the people they surround themselves with". This struck me as over the last few months I have been struggling to change myself to be a steadfast Christian and it is difficult to do without changing the company I keep as well. As I continue to get closer to God, I need to remove myself from the people that interfere with my relationship with Him. This week's verse is "He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed"(Proverbs 13:20 NKJV).
